In designing this project for the Picayune Rancheria and its CEDA Board, Thalden – Boyd – Emery Architects first created an appropriate master plan for development of the site. Then they provided the architecture, engineering and interior design services, and were involved in observing the construction through the completion of the project.
“Our entire approach to this project was to create a unique resort that is sensitive to the land and incorporates natural materials like wood and stone reflecting the beauty of nearby Yosemite Park,” says Barry Thalden, the partner in charge of the project. “We also have elevated the services available including new restaurants, luxury spa and swimming pool. The new rooms and suites are beautiful, and from the upper floors of the tower the view is magnificent. The overall objective has been to create a warm and comfortable experience for all the guests at Chukchansi Gold.”
