Linda Roe Retires as VP of Client Development at TBE Architects

Linda J RoeAfter more than 50 years of working with architectural firms, and over 30 years advocating
with clients in the gaming industry, our dear friend and colleague, Linda J. Roe, has
decided that she is ready to move on to the next phase of life, spending more time with
grandchildren and exploring personal interests.

As Vice President of Client Development at TBE Architects, Linda, has been instrumental in
establishing and maintaining client relationships. Barry Thalden, one of the firm’s founding
partners, recognized Linda’s unconquerable determination to be successful in every
endeavor and solicited her help beginning in 1999 to establish TBE’s reputation throughout
the hospitality industry, but more especially in Indian Country. On several occasions, he
identified Linda as “the voice of our firm” and in 2008 she received the Great Women of Gaming “Proven
Leader” Award.

Looking back over her years of diligent work, clearly Linda was much more than the average business
development representative. Linda took interest in knowing and befriending everyone she met,
remembering names, and sending personalized cards to countless individuals. Her persistent kindness and
devotion to building long-term relationships opened doors wherever she went. Under her guiding influence,
TBE Architects has been privileged to design for world-class properties like, Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino in
New Mexico, Wildhorse Resort & Casino in Oregon, Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in California, Harrah’s AkChin
in Arizona, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino-Tulsa in Oklahoma, and many more throughout the United States
and Canada.

Linda’s relentless commitment to improve the world has had a positive impact on the lives of many. Since
joining the team at TBE Architects, Linda has also become a passionate spokesperson for Indian Country.
Her years of associate membership in the National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA) includes numerous
legislative visits to Capitol Hill, lobbying on behalf of tribes for Tribal Sovereignty. Linda has also maintained
associate membership with the California Nations Indian Gaming Association (CNIGA), the Arizona Indian
Gaming Association (AIGA), and Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association (OIGA). She has served as an
advisory board member for ASU’s Construction in Indian Country and as an advisory board member for
Global Gaming Expo (G2E), Indian Gaming Magazine, and Native Nation Events.

Linda, we thank you for all that you have done for us at TBE Architects, for the hospitality and gaming
industry, and for Indian Country. You are a shining example of kindness and dedication. Your presence will
be missed at countless trade shows and client meetings, and we sincerely wish you the very best of health,
happiness, and joy throughout the coming years.

As of right now, we are planning to host a retirement celebration for Linda on the Monday preceding the
G2E Trade show in Las Vegas. Linda’s phone and email remain the same. Please feel free to reach out to
her.

Going forward, all business-related inquiries can be sent to Nick Schoenfeldt, Vice President + Principal at TBE
